NICO PEREZ TERRANE

The Nico Perez Terrane hosts the Isla Cristalina and Don Feliciano belts and separates the Piedra Alta Terrane on the west from the Cuchilla Dionisio Terrane on the East. The Isla Cristalina belt is exposed through an erosion window into the overlying Paleozoic sediments and the Don Feliciano belt is a prominent fold and thrust belt that is parallel to the regional Sierra Ballena fault.
